I shot this particular piece of video in Scotland. It is Loch Long on the Firth of Clyde. The visuals are such that first, it doesn't appear that the loch is wide enough or deep enough to turn the tanker. However the hills opposite create an optical illusion of narrowness. Only when you see the gulls flying halfway across, and they are minute specks, that you can appreciate that the loch is a lot wider than it seems. And the locals assure me, that the loch is 320 feet deep.
The two tug boats do an amazing ballet to turn this huge behemoth around so that it can be backed into the quay where the storage facility is. I am told that this port supplies the petroleum for Northern Ireland.
