I was walking to the office for a meeting and crossed the harbour bridge from Paradise Island to Nassau. As I was overhead, I saw a boat of stuff laden and headed for Haiti. This boat has lost it's engines, and is towed by another boat. The cargo is discarded bicycles, old rotten mattresses, empty paint cans, old chairs, pieces of canvas and any amount of sundry things rescued from the dump.
It is sad to think that what is essentially garbage is valuable to the poorest of the poor in the failed, earthquake-ravaged country of Haiti.
